Full Time Retail Sales Professional

Do you LOVE boots and jeans?  Would you enjoy a laid back work atmosphere with fun customers?  Then you might really like sharing your passion by joining our sales team.  This full time position is for a week day sales professional, Monday-Friday 9:45am -6pm daily.

Our retail store sells mainly work boots and cowboy boots, denim, and outerwear.  The products we sell are premium quality, and have a lot of technical features that make them different from what other stores sell.  We pride ourselves in stellar customer service, and we work with every customer to ensure the fit and features are perfect for their needs.  To accomplish this, we need salespeople that are absolute rock stars.  Easy going, easy to talk to, laid back but seriously excited about helping people.  

You will be helping people with footwear regularly, so the ability to kneel down to the floor is necessary.  You will often bend down to check footwear fit, and help customers pull boots off.  To complete the sale you will step up to the register to help with checkout and take care of warranty or special order requests.  Previous experience with POS systems and cash handling is very helpful.  We regularly pull inventory to replenish shelves, and keep the store tidy during the shift so there will be some cleaning and straightening up duties.  You will also be assisting with replenishment inventory orders, and working with vendors to reorder product.  Experience with Excel, Word, and some social media platforms will help with these tasks. 

Because our store sells mostly western wear and workwear, our dress code is very laid back.  Denim jeans and a tee or sweatshirt most days, but dressing western or wearing boots or western casual shoes is appreciated.  Most of the customers we serve are in the trades or farmers, and the vast majority are outdoorsmen and sportsmen with hobbies like hunting, ATV/UTV/motorcycles, classic cars, and trucks.  To excel at sales in our store a basic understanding of construction jobs, farming practices, and hunting is really helpful.  When a customer comes in for a work boot and tells you his job, understanding that job's environment and what the work boot will be exposed to really helps you select the right boot with the appropriate features. 

This job has a starting hourly wage of $16-22 per hour.  If you will be learning how to be a professional salesperson, you will be on the lower end of the scale.  If you have solid sales experience and can step in and learn our products fast, we are most certainly going to start you at the higher end or increase you quickly as you pick up skills and product knowledge.  If you come to us with a totally packed resume, and blow us away with your fun personality and proven work history we are TOTALLY willing to go even higher.  We want good people, solid professionals to work with the mature highly skilled crew we already have.  That comes with a solid pay rate for the experience you bring with you.   Benefits include vacation, company match to a retirement savings plan, and discounts on products we sell.  If you require health insurance, we can offer a benefit package to include care. 

This is a weekday position, Monday thru Friday from 9:45am-6pm.  We schedule our staff a month in advance, and can easily be flexible if you need a day off or time for personal needs with some notice.  Our full time professionals will be asked to work the occasional weekend day for special events and sales, typically 1-2 weekend days per month.  There is rarely the need for overtime, but we will have one or two seasonal weeks per year when the workload spikes and you have the option to work extra hours.
