Horsey Habit is one of the largest equine specialty retailers in WI, and becoming a work boot destination in Northeast WI. Our shop is growing, and laying the foundation for future expansion. Weekend Retail Sales Associate
This position is for Saturday and Sunday hours. Saturday is 9am-2pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm. This sales professional will focus on boot sales and support the growth in our work boot department. Basic knowledge of point-of-sale software and email is helpful. We appreciate a positive attitude, mature presence, and an easy-going personality that allows you to communicate and teach about the products we sell. Starting wage $12-17 per hour.
Retail Sales Professional
This full-time position will be responsible for making customers the focus of our store. This person will be a key salesperson in the retail store. Helping customers fit cowboy boots and work boots will be the primary focus of this sales position. This sales professional will respond to customer requests including emails, phone calls and special orders. Much of what we do behind the scenes at a retail store is computer work. Ordering inventory, tagging product, entering data in software, and shipping website orders are all routine tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with point of sale software and Microsoft Office. We would also appreciate a working knowledge of basic desktop publishing and social media. You should be vibrant, friendly, mature, and excited to learn and willing to teach what you know about the products we sell. To be an effective member of this team it is helpful to have experience with construction, farming, or horses. You must be able to kneel and stand repetitively as shoe fitting involves a lot of time checking the fit of footwear. Starting wage $13-18 per hour plus benefits.
We believe that as we grow, we need our team to be financially successful with us. Full-time positions will be paid hourly based on skills and experience. For exceptional candidates we will consider a higher hourly wage. Typical work week will be 35-40 hours. We are flexible with our work schedules and will consider candidates interested in less-than full time hours. Weekends are regular work days in a retail store, and every member of our team is expected to work occasional weekend days when scheduled- typically one or two per month. Seasonally we will have situations when more hours and/or overtime is necessary. Benefits for full-time staff include paid vacation and personal time off, company contributions to retirement savings, and generous discounts on products. If you require health insurance we are willing to structure a special compensation package to allow for healthcare.

Inventory Manager
You will help us develop and execute an inventory management system and process the day-to-day inventory shipments. We have a good point of sale software, and need to start utilizing the inventory management system. Managing our inventory has become a challenge. We want to automate customer orders, keep full size runs of product on the sales floor, but also need to forecast inventory levels for special seasonal events. Finding an employee familiar with inventory management can help us build the systems internally to help automate the process. We would also like to start controlling inventory value and respond to trends using order points and building "open to buy" forecast budgets. This job will also require some knowledge of inventory flow including receiving and tagging product, updating product maintenance data in our software, and physical inventory counts. We understand as systems come onboard and function well, there will be less building/maintenance of the software and it will be more about execution of the systems in place. As the shop and website grow, we will add duties and expand the role as the position develops fully expecting this to be a very long term full-time position. If you prefer less than full time hours this position can be structured for 24-32 hr/week part-time. This might be perfect for a retired professional that wants to share their knowledge and help build our systems without the long term or full-time commitment. Because of the size of our store, team members will often cross over into other roles such as helping with customer service, social media promotions, and website maintenance. Starting wage $18-23 per hour plus benefits.
