Horsey Habit is one of the largest equine specialty retailers in Wisconsin.  Our shop is growing, and laying the foundation for future expansion.  We are seeking retail sales and management professionals that are interested in helping us on this journey.  Employees of our company need to be hard working people.  You should be motivated, driven, and responsible.  Your job duties will vary greatly, keeping your work fun and vibrant.  We are a small company, so regardless of what your primary job is you will be stepping into other roles when the need arises.  The prospect of bringing new talent to our group is really exciting, as we don’t get to do this very often.    We hope you will be just as excited to join us.  We currently have one position available.
Retail Sales Professional
This full time position will be responsible for making customers the focus of our store.  This person will be a key salesperson in the retail store, and coordinate the efforts of part time sales staff.  This sales professional will manage customer contacts and requests including emails, phone calls and special orders.  Much of what we do behind the scenes at a tack shop is computer work.  Ordering and receiving inventory, tagging product, entering data in accounting software are all routine tasks.  The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, and understand basic point of sale software operation.  We would also appreciate some desktop publishing and social media skills.  If interested, with training and experience this person could become part of the saddle fitting team.  We expect this person to be a prominent face of our company.  You should be vibrant, friendly, mature, and excited to learn and willing to teach what you know about horse equipment.  To be an effective member of this team you will need to have extensive experience riding and caring for horses.  Resumes must be received by January 16th 2017.

Because we are seeking an unusual level of experience, we expect to pay this person well.  We also believe that as we grow, we need our team to be financially successful with us.  Full time positions will be paid hourly based on skills and experience, and will normally be in the range of $13-18 per hour.  Typical work week is 35-40-hours.  We are flexible with our work schedules, and will consider candidates only interested in three days per week.  Saturday is a regular work day in a retail store, and every member of our team is expected to work Saturdays when scheduled.  Seasonally we will have situations when more hours and/or overtime is necessary.  Benefits for full time staff include paid vacation and personal time off, company contributions to retirement savings, and generous discounts on products.  If you require health insurance, we are willing to structure a special compensation package to allow for healthcare.  If you are interested in any of these positions, please send a resume with salary requirements in confidence to    If you have any questions, call 920-686-3890 and ask for Michelle.
